The fast-paced nature of modern urban life often leads to high levels of stress. LILANZ recognizes the importance of providing a suitable living environment for their employees, where they can find solace and rejuvenation. With this in mind, the Staff House offers a unique and refreshing approach to accommodation.
The design of the Staff House tackles the challenges posed by the original architectural framework, which had an unreasonable spatial layout, low floor height, and short hallways. To overcome these limitations, the designers adopted a vertical design, maximizing the utilization of space. Additionally, creative lighting solutions were implemented to enhance the overall atmosphere, creating a modern and cozy ambiance.
The spatial layout of the Staff House is open and flexible, providing a wide view and a sense of freedom. The reception hall on the first floor sets the tone with its minimalist white aesthetic. The red reception desk adds a touch of vibrancy, creating a unique and tensioned mood. The restaurant area incorporates elements of blue and yellow, evoking a sense of the sea. Streamlined designs extend throughout the space, infusing it with a futuristic and technological feel.
In terms of materials, the design adheres to the principles of simplicity and practicality. Unnecessary material and energy consumption are minimized, and synthetically processed metals replace composite plates to reduce harmful emissions. The result is a safe, comfortable, and pleasant environment that prioritizes the well-being of its occupants.
The Staff House project was located in FuJian, China, and was completed within a specific timeframe. Throughout the design process, the team faced various challenges, including the need to address the original architectural limitations. However, through innovative vertical design and creative lighting solutions, these challenges were successfully overcome.
The Staff House is not just a place to live; it is a haven where employees can find respite from the demands of their daily lives. The minimalist design, emphasized by white and gray-black tones, creates a sense of awe-inspiring space. Artistic decorations add splashes of color, enhancing the relaxed and tranquil atmosphere.
For its exceptional design, the Staff House was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2021. This recognition is a testament to the project's outstanding creativity, resourcefulness, and contribution to improving quality of life.
